About this webinar:

Smart meters are a useful tool for helping households to take control of their energy use and reduce their bills, as well as being an essential component of a smarter and more flexible grid. But they also have a vital role to play in helping businesses realise the benefits of a smarter, greener and more efficient energy system.

The latest BusinessGreen webinar, hosted in association with Smart Energy GB, will explore how small businesses can use smart meters and accompanying technologies to both track and reduce their energy use and unlock new ways to reduce their environmental impact and make their businesses more efficient.

Microbusinesses, SMEs, and larger businesses alike, all have the potential to increase their use of renewable energy and tap into emerging flexible grid markets. But they can only unlock these opportunities if they have access to accurate energy use data and a clear strategy for deploying the fast emerging wave of new smart technologies.

Through smart meters and other smart tech, small business owners can use their smart meter data to make changes to how and when they use their energy, and can consent for their energy supplier or other third-parties to use their data to provide them with new services and products to help them better understand, manage, and reduce their energy use.

In future, when smart meters are integrated with other smart tech, such as electric vehicles, battery storage, and microgeneration systems, consumers and business owners will be able to make more informed choices as to when to buy and store energy, and even sell back their energy when demand is high.

This exclusive interactive webinar will provide an invaluable overview of how businesses can take advantage of emerging smart technologies, including best practice guidance, case studies showing how firms are already securing financial and environmental benefits from smart systems, and advice on how to develop an effective clean technology strategy.
